Board Members Needed

Advocacy WA has two non-Executive board vacancies. As a not-for-profit offering a free service to those living with disability, Advocacy WA is not in a position to pay board members. However, for those wishing to: give back to their community, interested in empowering underrepresented people, and wanting to make a difference by sharing their knowledge and skills with like-minded compassionate and dedicated individuals, the Advocacy WA board is for you.

To apply for a position on the board applicants should address the following criteria:

  • Experience living with disability, or with a close family member that has
  • Capacity and commitment to actively engage in the work of the AWA board, including board governance training (the Board meets up to 11 times per year)
  • Previous board or senior management experience

Other requirements include:

  • Community referees
  • National Police check
  • Ability to travel to Bunbury for monthly board meetings
