Improving the accessibility of businesses, services and events for people with disability is essential for the health and wellbeing of our society and also has significant economic benefits. It also enables people with a disability to enjoy and participate more fully in their workplaces and communities. This free workshop offers practical strategies for business owners and people working in customer-facing roles, to broaden their understanding of various disabilities while improving how they market services to the whole community.
Workshop Learning Outcomes
On completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Recognise different types of disability, including invisible disabilities
- Communicate more effectively with people with disabilities
- Build awareness of possible triggers & deescalate difficult situations
- Market and deliver excellent customer service to people with disabilities
- Make buildings, events, emails, websites and newsletters more accessible
