How can Advocacy WA support you:
Applying for the NDIS:
- Collaborate with your support team to identify relevant evidence, such as medical reports, assessments, and other documentation, to support your NDIS application.
- If you prefer a phone application, assist in making the initial call to the NDIA and ensuring you have all necessary information on hand.
- Guide you to complete necessary application forms and documentation. Provide clarity on each section, ensuring all relevant information is accurately presented.
- Facilitate communication between you and your support team, including treating practitioners and allied health professionals. Clarify what evidence is required from each part and guide them through the process.
- Assist in reviewing the completed documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Address any discrepancies or missing information before submission.
Appealing an NDIS Decision:
- Support you identify the reasons your application was denied by carefully reading the decision letter from NDIA.
- Support you to gather any identified required evidence for a review of decision.
- Support your request for review of a reviewable decision (RORD) through phone call, email or in person.
- Support you to do an external appeal application.
- Support in seeking legal advice and attend those appointments alongside you.
- Attended case conferences, conciliation, and hearing with you.
- Support to gather additional medical evidence requested by the agency (NDIA). Clarify the specific information required, deadlines, and any additional details to facilitate a smooth external appeal process.
